| The Pink Ballon in Santa Monica two block from the promenade From: Many 2/16/2009 12:06:41 PM The pink ballon does the best little girl cuts. My son who is 15 months has been in need of his first haircut so since I had taken my other kids to this salon at one point or another, we called there. We made the appt on sunday afternoon for monday10:30. We were running a few minutes late in the morning and I decided to call the salon 30 minutes BEFORE my appt to let them know we would be 10-15 minutes late. the person said terrific. When we a arrived, There was a little girl getting the best cut i have seen. We walked into the waiting room where we met a cute little girl that just finished her cut. We waited about 8 minutes and the ONLY hair dresser finished snipping off the ends of the baby in her chair, great. I have confidence.. At that same time a lady walks in with her son who was about 5. She starts getting very chatty with me. We are now friends by the way. and i city like Santa MOnica i appreciate making friends. She started our hair cut and made my little daught look great w The hair dresser glances at me again and proceeds to take the 5 year old instead of us w/o even an apology or explanation of what was going on. WE were offered cookies and milk yum. my but got allitel bigger but it was worth it. If there was a kid already in the only stylist seat when we got there and a kid that just was finished b4 him, how would us being 8-10 minutes late even be an issue as to skip us (my baby's cut wouldnt have been more than 10 minutes!)? I waited a few more minutes and still no info so I left. The staff was all very friendly with my little group of brats ( i mean loving childrend lol) clients (my kids) as well as anyone else I know. I got in my car and went home happy with all my loving childrenn we will be back soon. SM ...great experience there! Lastly, the cuts I witnessed at Kids Kut were at best sub-par especially for a boy (dork city). Pros: Clean, kid friendly eatery next door Cons: Valet in a dinky shopping center, bad customer service, Chop shop feeling, not good 4 baby's 1st cut! Review this business. |
